Daniel J. Kelly

Lord Ross; Servant to Gardener; Exton.  Mr. Kelly is the Chairman of the Boston Lawyers Division of the Federalist Society and the producer of the Boston Chapter’s Shakespeare and the Law and Shakespeare and Leadership programs.  He has appeared in all twelve previous productions, including as Iago opposite Wayne Budd’s Othello, Bassanio opposite Judge Nancy Gertner’s Portia in The Merchant of Venice, and Benedick opposite Lt. Governor Kerry Healey’s Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing.  He is a partner in McCarter & English LLP, where he practices in the areas of civil litigation and government contracts law.  He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Suffolk University Law School.  Mr. Kelly received a BA, cum laude, with honors, from the College of the Holy Cross and a JD, with honors, from George Washington University.  Mr. Kelly frequently appears in local professional and community theater organizations, most recently in Jamaica Plain’s Footlight Club productions of The Three Sisters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and Oliver!.  Mr. Kelly serves on the board of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and has appeared in its production of Macbeth.
