Janet Wu (Narrator)
Janet Wu has a variety of roles at 7News. She covers general and medical news and is most often seen at the anchor desk. A published writer, Wu’s essays and editorials have been printed in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, and a number of college textbooks.
She has lectured at Boston University, Brandeis, Bentley and Emerson College. Wu graduated from Yale University with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology, and a minor in Music. She plays the piano and cello. She earned a master's degree from Columbia University's Schools of Journalism and International Affairs. She sits on the Board of Visitors for The Franciscan Hospital for Children and is a long time supporter of the American Heart Association in memory of her father, a noted heart surgeon. She also helped establish the Young Professional Supporters of the Boston Public Library and their Online Tutoring Program for students. This year, Janet will host benefits for the Center for Women and Enterprise and the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence. Janet is an avid supporter of the arts in Boston. She is on the Board of Visitors for the New England
Conservatory of Music. She is a devoted fan of both Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Boston Landmarks Orchestra. A resident of the city, she never misses their performances!
